BuBu has been staying at school late this week to finish off his term paper. I have therefore been spending a lot of "alone" time with Siu BuB on Easter Monday and in the evenings. On Monday I took Siu BuB out to do quite a bit of shopping. It was such a good experience to take her out now that she can walk. A year ago, she was still a baby learning to crawl! She's such a sweet girl (at least to Gay & myself, probably because she's our daughter :p) She is also very fast too. I was just putting some stuff in the trunk and didn't put her back to her car seat because we were going to continue our grocery shopping, and within 5 seconds, she was already gone from my site and roaming in between cars in the parking lot! What a dangerous scene. Last night we went to a family story time at Oak Ridges Library. Tonight I plan to relax a bit with her (no more shopping - it is tiring to keep taking her on and off her car seat).
Siu BuB is growing leaps and bounds. I'm so glad that I have this chance to experience the conception, birth and growth of a human being. Every night I go in to her room to see her sweetly asleep, I am so happy from deep within my heart. Same goes for BuBu. He has never shown so much affection for anyone and Siu BuB must be the first and only. When Siu BuB calls him BaBa he melts. This morning, BuBu told Siu BuB that they were going to Starbucks for a coffee. She was really excited and when they went out, mom called and said she's ready to pick up Siu BuB. So instead of going to Starbucks, BuBu dropped her off at my mom's, only to find that Siu BuB refused to go w/ por por. They ended up going to Starbucks anyways, but BuBu just ordered a coffee to go (instead of the usual morning drink at Starbucks, where Siu BuB gets to walk around and socialize with other visitors and staff). She was then reluctantly following grandma home. Siu BuB really knows and we gotta do what we say we would.
Last Thursday, mom went out of the front door to get newspaper, only to come back with the front door locked. Siu BuB has apparently decided that since grandma is out, it's time for her to lock up! Mom asked her to unlock but she kept turning the knob on the other door leaf. Mom paniced and went to Uncle Nick's house to call dad. When she came back, the door is unlocked. I guess Siu BuB just decided that it's time to let por por back in :p She just learns so fast it's really beyond my imagination what she's been picking up, seeing what BuBu & I have been doing.
One night last week, she kept kissing me and said "jei jei" (thanks) every time she kisses me. I was so happy for the rest of the night and the next day. Mothers' emotions are so tightly tied to how baby is. OMG. I guess I'm really a mother b/c such a little thing delights me.
